The walk is along flat ground, but may be a bit wet under foot and is 8km / 5miles in length. We will start at Horsted Keynes Station and walk northwards near the Bluebell Railway, occasionally crossing it and with a good chance of seeing the trains. The walk is mostly through farmland, woodland and the grounds of stately homes. We will have a break at West Hoathly, and those who are keen can continue to Kingscote Station and get the steam train back to Horsted Keynes. Others may wish to relax in West Hoathly and walk back to Horsted Keynes, or get picked up by the bus if they prefer.
The photo was taken by one of the group when we did the walk in March 2012.
Although the bus driver will be familiar with the route and will walk with the group, the walk is not a guided walk. Walkers are responsible for their own navigation and welfare and are free to walk a different route if they choose. Although we will do our best to make sure everyone has a thoroughly good time, neither the bus driver nor The Big Lemon take any responsibility for the wellbeing of walkers whilst on the walk.
